Canal Access

Presumably back in the day “Easy Canal Access” carried the same attraction as the contemporary industrial site’s “Easy Motorway Access”. Though Jake Oldershaw is the only person I know who has transported his show via the canal system (& not used the boat as part of the performance) Stan’s Cafe does benefit from its “easy Canal Access”. On Tuesday I took good advantage of the Victorian Motorway by zooming to Kings Norton to visit a school who are interested in one of our City Adventure Days and yesterday a different set of canals took me to Tysley and the good people of Artistone, one of those specialist firms whose existence makes you pleased to live in a big city. The route to Tysley was particularly good being part of what is essentially a ribbon of countryside through the industrial city. Both of these journeys almost door to door with barely a road involved – magnificent: anyone for Venice?
