The Good Person Of Sezuan

Rehearsing @ A E Harris at the moment are the combined forces of MAT (Midlands Actors Theatre) and Sister Tree. They are working on production of Brecht’s The Good Person of Sezuan set in 1980s Jamaica, translated into the local dialect and suffused with reggae. The corrugated iron set looks great and there’s a good humour around the company, so I’m up for seeing if I can catch the show. Its regional tour starts with a preview at Lordswood Boys School on 30th September, then they go to Shrewsbury on 4th & 5th Oct, The Drum on 6th & 7th, Turves Green Boys’ School 8th, Blue Coat School, Coventry 11th, Lordswood Girls’ School 12th, Swanshurst Girls’ School 13th, Wolverhampton 14th, Bromsgrove 15th, Newman College 16th, Walsall College 21st October. For the more esoteric gig’s it’s probably best to call MAT direct on 0121 608 7144.
