21 & 22 June have been ringed dates in the diary for months, I’ve been watching them approaching with mounting anxiety. Now we’re there, 8 x groups of 30 Year 7 students each taking on 2 x 2 hour long challenges today and two more tomorrow.
The challenges have been devised in collaboration with the school’s Young Consultants. Some worked better than others, some struggled in the rain, some worked well with one group then were disappointing with the next. Craig hurt his thumb in some wiring related accident and I came a right cropper into a bunch of stingers whilst acting as guinea-pig for a group of students on a ‘devise a game challenge’: learning outcome – being dizzy and blindfolded is a bad combination.
