Eastside Projects, an artists run gallery in Birmingham, have put a call out for people interested in performing in two plays by the visual artist Liam Gillick. It sounds like a fun thing to do, but inappropriate for Stan’s Cafe, so in the interests of being helpful we pass it on.

An opportunity to act within two plays written by Liam Gillick, one of the
most important British Artists of the last 20 years. London/New York based Gillick was Nominated for the Turner Prize in 2002, represented Germany at this years Venice Biennale and is currently completing a major retrospective exhibition at Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago.
Take part in the World premier of LAPDOG OF THE BOURGEOISIE, a murder mystery play set in an art space is followed by a restaging of MIRRORED IMAGE: A VOLVO BAR performed in Munich and set on AUGUST 8. 1993 the day before the Volvo car plant closed. The two plays will be staged in the main gallery space at Eastside Projects in a minimal set daily through the run of 20 days.
