A few weeks ago I attended the Biting Back conference, commissioned by Birmingham City Council’s arts team, unfortunately I was called away before I could hear the closing Keynote speech. This was particularly annoying as I had met the speaker Airan Berg couple of days before and found him to be smart, thoughtful and funny – for me always a winning combination. Anyway, I’ve just caught up with it on-line and it’s is good value. He talks a lot of sense.

I was asked to speak on a small panel about our experience with @ AE Harris, an artist run space. This opportunity was good principally as it allowed me to twice listen to excellent representative of Madrid’s La Tabacalera talk about their amazing venue and extraordinary collaborative venture the running of it involves.
