Lindsworth: City Adventure

Today a small group of students from Lindsworth School undertook a City Adventure. A man in a tweed trilby handed them an envelope full of instructions and they were off, two to a teacher, tracking down challenges and taking photographs along the way. A particular hits were a musical challenge which took them to Birmingham Conservatoire, a conceptual challenge that took them to Birmingham Museums & Art Gallery and visual challenge hosted by our friends at St. Paul’s Gallery.

The City Adventure is a curious beast, so much of it is in the hands of the participants it is very difficult to influence how it goes once it has started. Today’s adventure felt slow and clunky, few groups got through their full five challenges before time was up. Yet they were having fun, but the structure of the event and the demands it makes on its participants means it does its job in most circumstances.
