IN 2012 we sent out letters to every local authority run primary school in Birmingham inviting them to apply to become our first Partner School. After shortlisting we visited a number of schools and finally chose Billesley Primary School. At the time Billesley was a two form entry school with a nursery, it had just emerged from special measures following the appointment of a new Headteacher – Jo Clifton.
Since then have collaborated regularly with Jo and her then Deputy, now Headteacher Karl Rogerson agreeing what projects we could undertake to help the school achieve its strategic objectives.
Billesley is now judged by OFSTED to be ‘Outstanding’ in all areas, it is a three form entry reserach school and part of The Elliot Foundation. The projects below help tell the story of our small part in this journey.
