Of All The People In All The World: France

Domaine d’O
Montpellier, France
21st Sept – 2nd Oct 2009

Montpellier

Domaine d’O is an Arts Centre spread in separate buildings thorugh a walled public park on the outskirts of Montpellier. This presentation was part of the venue’s relaunch under new management and was the first element of a relationship between Stan’s Cafe and the venue due to last three years. After the first week Of All The People In All The World was joined by The Cleansing of Constance Brown.

Set in a first floor gallery space the show was spread through three small interconnected rooms which presented a challenging format. The venues central concern for its opening season was Climate Change so we made sure that a signficant strand of the show’s attention featured this issue.

Highlights The park, the weather, the exciting opening night and the venue’s collaboration with a local rice supplier.

Lowlights Poor attendences after the opening and outside weekends.

If every millionaire in the world came to see this exhibition, perhaps the course of history would change!

Caroline

Thank you for surprising us like this. We’ll be back to open our eyes again.

Patty

Impressive, the pile of rice…or should I say the piles of individuals and their classification!

Alix

This is a remarkable exhibition! It provokes thought leading to a realisation of what is happening to the world as we know it.”
