Vancouver
The Vancouver East Cultural Centre had found a great space in the foyer gallery of the local Art College. Working in this Fine Art setting proved the show could live in this, as well as the theatrical world. The show’s restricted size and audience’s multiple daily journeys through it led to a dynamic, rapidly shifting show.
Taking the Aqua Bus to work was a treat and Granville Island was a fine place to work, its amazing market made breakfasts and lunch hours a treat. Our heavy schedule – we were performing It’s Your Film in the evenings – meant we didn’t live it up in Vancouver as much as we would have done as tourists, but this will always be remembered as one of the great Stan trips.
Highlight was certainly a woman pointing at two grains of rice labelled Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd-Webber and asking “is that really them?”
