Normally the show is presented in the context of art. Here it was presented in the context of a political happening. The G8 conference down the road was the backdrop and the show and skewed its reading.Presented in a spectacular church the show had to jostle for space with a range of other artistic enterprises. Predictably things were fairly ad hoc and initially the show had to be found for the show scattered through the venue. Over time more and more space was found for the rice.
Highlights: Experiencing first hand the disparity between the actuality of an event and the representation of that event in the national media.
